How do we book our wedding date?
A. Booking is simple! To reserve your wedding date, you’ll need to sign your contract and pay a 25% non-refundable retainer. Once those are received, your date is officially reserved on my calendar.
How much is the retainer, and is it refundable?
A. A 25% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your wedding date. Because I only book a limited number of weddings each year and reserve your date exclusively for you, retainers are non-refundable.
Do you offer payment plans?
A. Yes! Payment plans are available. We’ll work together to create a payment schedule that fits your needs.
When is the remaining balance due?
A. Your remaining balance is typically due 30 days before your wedding date.
How many hours of coverage do we need?
A. Every wedding is different! During the planning process, I’m happy to help you choose the amount of coverage that best fits your timeline and priorities. Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony or a full-day celebration, we’ll find the package that’s right for you.
Can we add extra coverage if our timeline changes?
A. Absolutely! If my schedule allows, additional coverage can be added before your wedding or even on the wedding day.
Do you photograph elopements & courthouse weddings?
A. Yes! I love photographing weddings of all sizes, from intimate courthouse ceremonies and elopements to full-day celebrations.
Do you photograph LGBTQ+ weddings?
A. Absolutely! Brooke Ray Photography proudly welcomes and celebrates couples and families of all backgrounds and identities. Y’all means all!
Do you travel for weddings?
A. Yes! I’m based in Central Arkansas and happily travel throughout the state and beyond.
Do you charge travel fees?
A. Travel within Arkansas is charged at a flat rate of $25 per hour of travel time. For out-of-state and late-night weddings, travel costs such as lodging and transportation will be discussed during the booking process.
Do you help us create our wedding day timeline?
A. Yes! About 30 days before your wedding, we’ll go over your plans together, and I’ll help create a photography timeline that keeps everything running smoothly while allowing plenty of time for beautiful portraits.
When should we schedule our engagement session?
A. If your package includes a complimentary engagement session, I recommend scheduling it 3–8 months before your wedding. This gives you plenty of time to use your photos for save-the-dates, invitations, or your wedding website.
What information do you need before the wedding?
A. About a month before your wedding, I’ll send a questionnaire covering everything I need to know, including your timeline, family photo list, special traditions, vendor information, and any details you’d like photographed for flat lays.
Do you work with a second photographer?
A. Most weddings are photographed by me. If your wedding would benefit from additional coverage, a second photographer may be available for an additional fee.
What happens if it rains?
A. Don’t worry! Rainy wedding photos can be incredibly romantic. We’ll adjust the timeline if needed, use covered locations, or embrace the weather with umbrellas and creative lighting.
Will you help pose us?
A. Absolutely! Most of my couples tell me they’re awkward in front of the camera, and that’s completely normal. I’ll guide you every step of the way with natural posing and prompts so you never have to wonder what to do.
How long does it take to receive our wedding gallery?
A. Your final gallery will be delivered within eight weeks, although many weddings are completed even sooner.
Will we receive sneak peeks?
A. Yes, if you want them! I love sharing a handful of sneak peeks shortly after your wedding so you have a few images to enjoy while I work on your full gallery.
How many images will we receive?
A. Every wedding is unique, so I don’t guarantee a specific number of images. You’ll receive all of the best professionally edited photographs that tell the complete story of your wedding day.
How will we receive our photos?
A. Your images will be delivered in a beautiful online gallery where you can view, download, share, and order professional-quality prints.
Do you provide RAW images?
A. No. RAW files are unfinished images and are not included. Every image you receive is individually edited to reflect my artistic style and the quality you see throughout my portfolio.
Can we print our photos anywhere?
A. Yes! Your gallery includes high-resolution images with a personal print release, allowing you to print your photos wherever you’d like. Professional print products are also available directly through your gallery for the highest quality results.
What happens if you’re sick or there’s an emergency?
A. In the unlikely event that I experience an emergency that prevents me from photographing your wedding, I will make every reasonable effort to find a qualified replacement photographer or provide the options outlined in my contract. Your wedding day is incredibly important to me, and I always have a contingency plan in mind.
